Stopped in for a late lunch. The pizzas are touted as being made with French organic wheat and spelt from local mills. While that is certainly a commendable approach to local and sustainable food sourcing, it was not specifically noticeable in the end product. Regardless, the pizzas we ordered hit the mark in any event. The tomato sauce on the Marguerite was perhaps a smidge too sweet for my palate, but overall the dish was fine. I’m also used to more basil on this particular pizza. The Frome-Tonne was certainly very cheesy! The restaurant provided chili oil with the pizzas, but it wasn’t especially spicy. Oddly enough, they also provided a chili honey with the Frometon, which, in addition to going very well with the cheeses, worked wonderfully with the From-Tonne. I’d recommend asking for a side of the honey if you order this particular pizza. We probably could have foregone the Popu Bread. The fleur de sel and olive oil were not very tangible in the dish and the hummus was fair to middling at the best. Despite the slight let down on the bread dish, the meal was overall a success.

Located in the heart of Paris at 12 Rue du Champ de Mars, Popu Bistro à Pizza is a vibrant corner where traditional French ingredients meet the art of pizza-making. This bistro elevates the humble pizza with locally sourced organic wheat and spelt from nearby mills, creating a crust that is both wholesome and flavorful. The menu invites you to indulge beyond pizza, with standout offerings such as their fresh Caesar Our Way salad, decadent Pink Praline Cake, and a curated selection of wines and beers that complement each dish perfectly.

What sets Popu Bistro apart is its balance of rustic charm and modern touches. The Cheese Pizza, particularly the Frome-Tonne, bursts with rich, melty cheese enhanced by an unexpected twist of chili honey—an accompaniment that transforms the experience with subtle sweetness and spice. Their Marguerite showcases fresh tomato sauce and basil in a delicate harmony, though it leans slightly towards a sweeter palette, inviting customization.

For those seeking a personalized touch, the Fais Ta Propre Pizza option empowers you to create your own masterpiece, while the Popu Burger with Cantal Entre-Deux Cheese offers a hearty alternative reflecting the bistro’s French roots. The dessert menu, featuring the Baba Al Rhum and Gateau Aux Pralines Roses, rounds off the meal with rich, traditional flavors.

Customers praise not only the food but the warm, welcoming atmosphere and attentive service. The outdoor seating invites leisurely brunches or casual evenings, while practical touches like luggage storage through the Bounce app enhance convenience for travelers. Staff recommendations, such as the rooster and honey pizza, consistently delight patrons, confirming Popu Bistro à Pizza as a must-visit destination for authentic, thoughtful dining in Paris.
